My name is Maria Partin, and I am proud to say I was born and raised in Newcomb, Tennessee. My parents, Robert and Alene Baird, instilled a strong work ethic and raised me to love and serve God. Along with my sister Jennifer, I was blessed to grow up in a home rooted in faith, values, and our community; principles which continue to guide my life today.
I began my career in the Campbell County Clerk’s Office at 17 years old while attending Jellico High School, working part-time in the Jellico office. After graduating, I continued my education at Roane State Community College in LaFollette, where I met my husband of 25 years, Brandon. We made our home in Jacksboro and have been blessed with three wonderful sons: Logan, who will graduate from LMU this May; Landon, a sophomore at Campbell County High School and brand-new driver; and Luke, a 7th grader at JMS who loves being in the band.
After moving to Jacksboro, I began working in the Jacksboro office, where I have spent the majority of my 25-year career serving the citizens of this county. Over these years, I have gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the Clerk’s Office. My eight years as the Deputy Clerk allowed me to perform the full range of administrative responsibilities required of the Clerk. There is truly not a single duty within the office that I have not performed.
Throughout my career, I have attended numerous training classes and continued to build my knowledge to better serve the people of Campbell County. The County Clerk’s Office serves nearly every household in our community, and it is vital that it is led with the experience, dedication, and the knowledge to serve you effectively.
I am committed to continuing this service and being a leader you can count on.
I am running as a Republican in the May 5th Primary because of the values that were instilled in me from a young age. I have been a member of the Campbell County Republican Women’s Club for several years and had the honor of serving as Chairwoman of the Republican Party.
I would be honored to have your support and your vote.
